SUPPORT THE BEVY

We can’t compete with the bright lights of Brighton or the student bars so we focus on what we are good at.

Donate to The Bevy

We rely massively on our regulars, not just for enjoying a great time but also for maintaining the garden, tending to the rocket composter, fixing lights or mending a broken door, and occasionally lending a hand behind the bar when we’re bustling with activity. This is the very essence of what a community pub should represent. At ‘The Bevy,’ we operate as a Community Benefit Society, driven by a commitment to create a social impact. While the profits generated from the pub are reinvested into the projects we champion, it’s the unwavering generosity of countless individuals that enables us to carry out our mission effectively.

Who we support

At ‘The Bevy,’ we take pride in being the sole community-owned pub on a UK estate. Our diverse activities, including seniors clubs, job clubs, after-school programs with complimentary activities and food, disability-friendly discos, plant sales, parkruns, and health drop-in clinics, reflect our commitment. Even during the pandemic, we joined hands with various organizations to initiate meal deliveries on the very first day of lockdown.

Why it’s important

Communities require gathering places, and pubs play a vital role in providing spaces where neighbors can meet, friends can congregate, and connections can flourish. This role becomes even more significant in areas with limited community spaces. While all pubs contribute to social good, ‘The Bevy’ stands out by serving as a versatile venue for a wide range of community events.

Our impact

Our success isn’t merely measured in terms of profits; it’s gauged by our contributions to social good. Our activities combat loneliness, bolster mental health, and alleviate the strain on the NHS. We are the heartbeat of the community, uniting people, uplifting spirits, and ensuring the well-being of local residents. With our diverse activities, adaptability, inclusivity, and community connectivity, ‘The Bevy’ stands as a cornerstone of community well-being.

SUPPORT THE BEVY

The Bevy is a Community Benefit Society and we exist to make a social impact. Any profits we make from the pub are ploughed back into the projects we run and support, it’s only thanks to the generosity of so many people that we are able to do what we do.
