Where families come together

Family Fun Thursday is one of the busiest afternoons of the week at The Bevy. Every Thursday, local families come together for free meals, hands-on activities and a few hours where children can play, get messy and have fun while parents put the kettle on and have a catch-up. There’s no booking, no cost and no forms to fill in. Just come along.

Something different every week

No two Thursdays are the same. One week we’re making Rice Krispie cakes, the next we’re covered in paint, meeting reptiles, getting crafty or trying something completely different. Whatever we’ve got planned, there’s always plenty going on and everyone’s encouraged to join in. Children can play, make new friends and burn off some energy while parents enjoy a cuppa, catch up with other families or simply take a breather. Every child gets a free meal, because there’s something special about sharing good food together.

What to expect

• A free meal for the whole family.
• Hands-on activities including arts and crafts, messy play, baking, games and surprise visitors.
• A chance for children to play, make new friends and try something different every week.
• Time for parents, grandparents and carers to enjoy a cuppa, have a chat and spend time together.
