Music & Memory Cafe
Where music brings people together
The Music & Memory Dementia Café takes place every other Wednesday at The Bevy. It’s a relaxed afternoon with live music, singing, tea, cake and good company, where people can enjoy the afternoon together at their own pace. It’s open to people living with dementia, their families, friends and carers. Whether it’s your first visit or you’ve been coming for years, you’ll always get the same warm welcome.
An afternoon to enjoy together
Music has a wonderful way of bringing people together. One song brings back old memories, another gets the whole room singing, and before long people are chatting, laughing and enjoying each other’s company. There’s live music, tea, coffee and cake, with plenty of time to sit, have a chat and enjoy the afternoon at your own pace. Nothing formal and no pressure. Just a room full of friendly faces enjoying good company together.
What to expect
- Live music with familiar songs everyone can enjoy and sing along to.
- Tea, coffee and cake throughout the afternoon.
- Simple activities to get conversations started and memories flowing.
- A warm welcome whether you come with family, friends or on your own.
